Operating standards for coupon issuance, bundle transfer negotiations, redemption verification, and service restrictions.
Coupon Policy
Effective Date: May 23, 2026
This policy provides detailed standards that apply to members, stores, and administrators to ensure stable operation of Couponi and prevent misuse.
Core Principles
- The service manages coupon and discount information issued by participating stores.
- Coupons from non-participating stores, paper coupons, and coupons from external platforms are not managed by the service.
- The company does not aggregate coupon amounts or determine the monetary value of coupons.
- The company does not provide coupon money, points, stored value, settlement funds, or currency exchange functions.
- Requests to use coupons issued by participating stores follow verification procedures between the relevant stores. The company does not calculate or pay settlement amounts.
- A store-specific discount may be used only at the store that issued it.
1. Issuing Registration Coupons
Stores may issue registration coupons only for benefits they are actually able to provide.
The coupon name, discount amount, validity period, and conditions of use must be displayed clearly so customers are not misled.
False coupons, coupons with unclear conditions, or coupons that are unlikely to be honored may be restricted at the administrator's discretion.
2. Receiving and Holding Coupons
Members may receive coupons through a QR code or registration code provided by a store.
Duplicate receipt of the same coupon may be restricted by system policy.
Coupons held by a member or store may be verified for use at the original issuing store by scanning the QR code.
3. Bundle Transfer Negotiations
A member may select multiple coupons they hold and request a bundle transfer negotiation with a specific store.
The desired discount amount entered by the member is only a requested negotiation condition and is not a coupon valuation calculated by the platform.
The store may review the request and make an offer or reject it. The transfer is completed only when the customer accepts the offer.
4. Verification at the Original Issuing Store
When the original issuing store scans a coupon QR code, the coupon enters the “Verification Pending at Issuing Store” status.
While in this status, other transfers, negotiations, or attempts to use the coupon are restricted.
When the benefit has actually been provided, the store must mark the coupon as used. If it was not used, the store must cancel the verification to release the lock.
As a rule, a coupon marked as used cannot be used again.
5. Store-Specific Discounts
A store-specific discount is a promotional benefit issued by a store under its own name.
It may be used only at the store that issued it.
It may not be operated as a company-issued common payment method, shared balance, or coupon money.
6. Restrictions and Enforcement
Use of the service may be restricted if any of the following is identified:
- Issuing false coupons
- Attempting duplicate use or reuse of a coupon
- Unauthorized copying or distribution of a QR code or registration code
- Treating coupons as items for cash conversion, purchase, sale, or exchange, or requesting settlement from the company
- Marking an unused coupon as used
- Improperly managing employee permissions
- Repeatedly causing customer complaints or disputes
7. Activity History
Actions including coupon issuance, receipt, negotiation requests, offers, acceptance, verification, completion of use, cancellation, and employee permission changes may be recorded.
Activity history may be used to prevent misuse, confirm disputes, support customers, and manage service operations.
